The Glasgow West Business Club is a
Business Events and Development Club that aims to support
local Businesses and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit within
the West of Glasgow. We are a non-profit making organization
and have been set up with the assistance of Glasgow West
Regeneration Agency.
The Glasgow West Business Club aims to enable local Businesses
to fulfill their aspirations and give mutual support to each
other. We aim to provide a Club that will be built on trust,
understanding and openness and that will assist and support
its members through encouragement, motivation, information,
knowledge sharing and expertise.
Glasgow Businesses will gain support from membership through
the expertise and experience of both members and speakers
who will assist them in finding solutions to their Business
Challenges.
The Glasgow West Business Club offers a comprehensive
program of Business Related topics to assist Businesses in
dealing with day to day business matters that can impede
growth.
Glasgow's Regeneration Agency
Glasgow’s Regeneration Agency is at the forefront of economic regeneration in the city. Formed in April 2011 with the merger of the five Local Regeneration Agencies, working across the city, GRA links the most disadvantaged citizens to opportunities. As the key employability delivery agency in Glasgow, GRA has developed innovative and creative solutions to the issue of unemployment and delivered a range of interventions and activities supporting people to develop their confidence, improve their team working skills, increase qualifications, undertake work placements and deliver sustainable employment outcomes. GRA are also committed to working closely with employers throughout the city to provide a range of tailored services that help businesses prosper. By working in partnership, the support we provide assists organisations to achieve their business development goals and recruitment needs.

We joined GWBC as our business requires trust, a partnership between the client business and our service to bring improved performance to the client. The Club slows business chatter down allowing you to get to know individuals and their businesses rather than simply swapping business cards. It is informal and informative, providing a blend of theory and practice to the members, which is the right kind of atmosphere for us.

Formed in February 2010, rennie mcinnes llp is a partnership between husband and wife Stewart Rennie and Aileen McInnes. Both are highly experienced solicitors, Stewart having been a Corporate Partner at Boyds Solicitors LLP and subsequently at HBJ Gateley Wareing and Aileen having been an Associate in the Private Client Department at Wright Johnston & Mackenzie.
Whilst they can provide a wide range of services their target market is the owner managed business sector, particularly in the west of the city. Their business model is that they go to see clients in their premises and the aim is to provide them with the quality of advice that they would otherwise have to go into the city for without having to pay city centre prices.
Stewart is also one of only 21 Solicitors accredited as a specialist in Insolvency by the Law Society of Scotland. Whilst never a pleasant subject, in these uncertain business times it is very useful to be able to call on the experience of someone who has been there at the sharp end should you need to do so.
